Group Workshops

Group workshops now available through the wonderful team at SMJ Falconry

Learn how to capture birds in flight , portraits and get tips on photographing wildlife in a safe, educational environment in West Yorkshire. Set at the grounds of SMJ we will spend our time learning and working with the birds at a relaxed pace with plenty of time to answer any questions you may have.

You will need:

  • Camera

  • Memory Card

  • Short focal length lens (50-200mm)

  • Long focal length lens (300-600mm)

  • Reliable boots

  • Clothes to suit the weather conditions

  • Lunch/food

When I first took up photography, I never imagined I’d end up in wildlife — or become so obsessed with owls. Any bird of prey will do, though. Watching them go about their day through my lens is the second most rewarding thing I do, just behind teaching chops.Part of me leaving my last role to pursue this full time is so I can share that fullfillment and wonder with you.
