Watching this rather large family of Barn Owls this year has to be one of the best things I have done. Each member of this family had it’s own little personality and this owl in particular was extremely hesitant to go out during the daytime hours. It would often sit in the entrance to the roost. Watching the outside world, often whilst it’s siblings explored nearby.
Like a little monitoring turret, it locked eyes with me one evening, the rest of the world shrank away and we just stared at eachother. I have cropped/edited this image to bring that strong connection to life in the picture. I really hope you love this one as much as I do.
